Joining forces post a group redundancy in 2008, Ramesh Sharma, Nia Williams, Andrew Goldsmith and Marco Callegari have capitalised – at a momentous rate – on a collective ability to identify new business opportunities among start-ups and distressed companies, turning them into multi-million pound businesses. Launching the beginnings of their holding company – The Publishing Group – over a 2008 post-redundancy drink in the Hoxton Hotel, the undeterred quartet have weathered a fair few storms to build the UK’s largest privately owned media entity in the corporate and financial sectors.
Without a trace of debt hanging over the business, the group initially strived to seek out billable business models that required no bank roll – just talent, innovation, and passion. In more recent years, their continued success has enabled strategic investment into marcomms-based software and technology to help them drive forward, and profit from, tomorrow’s increasingly connected world.
TPG was founded by a team of four individuals with extensive experience of the publishing and marketing industries. Each bringing different but complementary skills to the business, they all share the entrepreneurial spirit and vision that has driven the continued expansion and growth of the group.
